Every player starts at Level 0. It's an Elo-style rating for doubles:

• Both partners on a team share the same level change for a game.
• Beating a team with a higher average level than yours gains you more than beating a team rated lower than yours — and losing works the same way in reverse.
• A more lopsided score moves the level more (up to 1.5×); a close score moves it less.
• Each game can move a level by at most 24 points either way.
